This is an overview of PV Taiwan 2015 in Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei, Taiwan, recorded on October 14, 2015. It's a composite of photos and videos photoed/video-recorded, and uploaded by sunisthefuture-Susan Sun Nunamaker and rendered by Michael Nunamaker. The event organizer was very astute in combining PV Taiwan-TIGIS-Laser Taiwan 2015 into one conference/exhibition event because there is much cross-over among these three industries. 2015 PV (Photovoltaics) Taiwan & 2015 TIGIS (Taiwan International Green Industry Show) open concurrently for the first time at Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall, creating the most comprehensive and complete platform for Green Energy Industry in Taiwan. The event lasted between Oct. 14-16, 2015. As we got close to the exhibition center on Oct. 14, 2015, we realized that there would be some serious VIP attending this event because the building was surrounded by security guards. As it turned out, the VIP is the President of Taiwan, Ma Ying-jeou. Not only did President Ma give an encouraging opening address, he also took a quick tour of the exhibit with his entourage, caught in this video above (at 4:53 mark of the video). It is clear that President Ma appreciates the relevance of solar/renewable industry at this juncture of human history. He understands that we all need to get into the clean, renewable, and solar energy. His attendance was truly a morale boost for all of those in solar industry and in attendance. This is a very well organized event where media/press are treated well. The main difference between PV Taiwan and SPI or Intersolar is that PV Taiwan has greater emphasis in manufacturing components (such as material and equipments) whereas SPI or Intersolar tends to emphasize more on finished product. It is apparent that a lot of Taiwanese or Chinese solar businesses are in collaboration with other European companies (such as German companies). I believe Taiwanese business people, as a group, is extremely versatile and collaborative. They also understand the importance of education and research for solar industry's future. It is an event worth attending for solar businesses that want to connect with others from different parts of the world. Taipei, Taiwan, has presented itself as a world class city, where order, cleanliness, and smart planning and designs may be found every where. Taiwan is truly a beautiful place, a wonderful island where services are the tops, best (cleanest and easiest to navigate) mass transport (MRT), and people are extremely friendly! Taipei, Taiwan, is a city where one doesn't need to speak/know Chinese/Mandarin and still be able to get around the city because all signs and metro announcements are in both English and Chinese. It is truly an international city. Any questions, comments, and concerns may be directed to: sunisthefuture@gmail.com More videos regarding PV Taiwan 2015 will be uploaded later. ~have a bright and sunny day~ gathered, photographed, video-recorded, written, and posted by sunisthefuture-Susan Sun Nunamaker http://www.sunisthefuture.net For more solar energy topics, please visit/share/like/follow/subscribe these links below: 1. http://www.sunisthefuture.net 2. http://www.youtube.com/user/sunisthefuture 3. http://www.kiva.org/team/sunisthefuture 4. http://www.facebook.com/sunisthefuture 5. http://www.pinterest.com/sunisthefuture 6. https://plus.google.com/+SunisthefutureNet 7. http://www.instagram.com/sunisthefuture 8. http://www.sunisthefuture.com

The annual technology exhibition is the third largest in the world behind Germany's CeBit and Las Vegas's Comdex shows. The event was delayed for three months this year following the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak in the region. Wireless products and applications featured strongly in Computex 2003, with local manufacturers displaying their mobile transmission capabilities. Texas Instruments (TI) returned to the fair after a six-year absence with its latest OMAP (Open Multimedia Applications Platform) processor used in smartphones and PDAs (Personal Digital Assistant). According to local reports TI are planing to set up a wireless communications application centre in Taiwan later this year. More than 1500 companies worldwide were registered to attend the event and over 20,000 people were expected to have visited the show which ran from September 22 to September 26. Sourcing Taiwan, a trade fair put on by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council to connect local suppliers with foreign buyers, kicked off today at Taipei''s Nangang Exhibition Hall. Of the 580 buyers from 61 countries represented at the fair, 43 percent came from Southeast Asia, in a sign of the government''s emphasis on trade with the region under its New Southbound policy. TAITRA representatives were out in force networking with foreign buyers at Sourcing Taiwan 2017. When asked about reports that China had attempted to pressure TAITRA over its Taiwan Trade Fair event in China earlier this year, TAITRA Chairman James Huang shied away from direct confrontation.James HuangTAITRA ChairmanWe’re optimistic and actively working on that. We’ve planned over 40 events to strengthen and expand our trade with China, and we’re actively promoting those events. Buyers from 61 countries crammed into the exhibition hall looking for trading partners. Many also expressed an interest in moving into Taiwan’s domestic market as well.ShirleyIndonesian Electronics DistributorIt would (depend on) the government’s support, on regulation from the Taiwan government. Have you heard of free trade zones between the countries? (Those) would help us a lot. Support for the Tsai administration’s New Southbound policy among Southeast Asian businesses was reflected in the many products and buyers from the region at the fair. Chen Chien-jenVice PresidentThe government is now working to ease restrictions on foreign workers living in Taiwan, and to strengthen collaborations between academia and the business sector. The hope is that the New Southbound Policy can let Taiwan continue to participate in regional economic integration and connect to global markets. TAITRA representatives said they were optimistic about Taiwan’s prospects for economic growth, and were aiming to create up to US$4 billion dollars in business opportunities at the one-day event.
